What is this test about?

Who is this for?

There are two types of Pearson Test of English, academic and general. PTE academic UKVI is a Secure English Language Test (SELT), approved by the UK home office requisite for tier 4 and tier 2 visas in the United Kingdom. However, in terms of the course content and test format, there are no variations. The difference lies in the registration process where for UKVI there are a few additional requirements.
