The charm of Greece, particularly the ever-popular Greek islands, lies in the fact that being one of the world’s most sought after holiday destinations has not, for the most part, spoiled its traditional customs and way of life. Black-clad women still deliver vegetables to island tavernas on panniered donkeys, while bronzed, lined fishermen sit in the sun, drink thick coffee, and play dominoes or dice.
